This was an interesting project. The family comprised of members of varied age groups, each with different design sensibilities. Our challenge was to address their specific requirements yet all the elements of design had to speak the same language. We carefully dressed up the house so that there was a beautiful marriage of Indian heritage with modern aesthetics.
The living area had a huge partition with slats so that it does not block the light streaming from the living room window but still be able to redefine the space. The wood used here along with different artefacts and other detailing reflected an eclectic energy. The thin wash on the exposed brick wall was used for family pictures which added to the creativity in the designing process.
